Area Chamber of Commerce offers many benefits to its members.

- Best advertising you can buy! A complete listing
of all chamber members via our Chamber of Commerce web
site. Members can also advertise on
our high traffic Web site.
- Binder with all Chamber
members' names, addresses, phone numbers; reproducible
mailing label list
- Provides media exposure to various
businesses via the Spotlight on Business features in
the monthly publication, The Shopping News.
- Our Business
before Hours programs provides quarterly opportunities
for our membership to meet and network on an informal
basis. Your business can
host Community after Hours events proving you more exposure
to local business and citizens.
- Electronic newsletter
updates or “Flashes” to provide
quick information to all members providing e-mail addresses.
- Assist,
along with our Ambassadors, in programs to provide
photo opportunities for Ribbon Cuttings, Grand Opening
and Business Anniversary celebrations. Our Ambassadors
also provide assistance with our Business Before Hours
programs.
- Work in conjunction with other agencies such
as the Office of Economic Development to launch groups
such as SpringFest, a family oriented city wide celebration
and C.A.R.E. (Citizens Advocating a Return to Excellence),
an educational organization.
- By sponsoring the annual
Citizen of the Year award as well as the Business of
the Year, we attempt to keep Hueytown citizens and business
in the mind of the public.
- The Teacher of the Month program
recognizes outstanding educators within our community.
This culminates during the annual banquet with the Teacher
of the Year award.
- Our annual Candlelight Stroll in which
the community strolls from the Hueytown Library and ends
with the City Tree Lighting ceremony in Stadium Park.
- The
ability to assist a college-bound Hueytown High School
graduating senior or continuing education student through
Kitty Bruce Memorial Chamber Scholarship Fund
- An OUTSTANDING
Christmas parade, offering over 170 units this year!
- Plans
are being made for additional Homecoming festivities
that will involve all aspects of the Hueytown community.
