Hueytown consists of five districts which
are each represented by one elected member comprising the
City Council. The City Council is responsible for policy-making,
local resolutions and ordinances, adopting an annual budget,
and appointing members to local boards and committees.
City Council Meetings, at the Hueytown City
Hall, are open to the public and are held the second and
fourth Tuesday every month. pre-council sessions begin at
6:00pm and council meetings at 6:30pm.
